Focus Groups, Teambuilding and Conflict Resolution
Focus Groups are typically convened to generate insights, ideas and recommendations from a variety of differing perspectives.
We have found them to be highly effective for the following purposes:
- Teambuilding.
- Conflict resolution.
- Management vs. union dynamics and related problems.
- Building or facilitating greater communication and understanding across different divisions, departments, work groups, etc.
- Problem solving (i.e. quality, delivery, cost, etc.).
- Idea generation, “brainstorming” and other creative processes.
Focus Groups represent a substantial investment of time and other valuable resources. We work closely with clients to:
- Establish Focus Group agendas and topics for discussion.
- Identify prospective participants (knowledge, competence and individual perspective are key considerations).
- Develop preliminary documents or assignments for participants to complete prior to meeting (in order to maximize the value of the group’s time together).
- Conduct, run and facilitate the Focus Group.
- Develop group-based ideas, plans and formal recommendations for review by executive-level management.
